7 held with large quantity of fake currency in city

Plain-clothes police recovered a large quantity of fake currencies, including Indian rupee, and arrested seven people from Kamrangirchar in the city Wednesday, reports UNB.
They currencies included Bangladeshi Tk 2.0 million and Indian rupees 1.0 million.
The arrested persons are Md Shah Alam (28), Md Jahirul Islam alias Khokon (32), Md Aminul Islam (35), Shahin Sikder (40), Md Habib (25), Sambhu Nath Sarker (48), and Md Kawser Ahmed (38).
Acting on a tip-off, a special team of Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan police (DMP) conducted a drive at Loharpool around 4:00 pm and arrested Khokon and Aminul while they were selling fake currency notes.
