7 houses gutted at Goalanda

At least seven houses were gutted in a fire at Goalanda upazila in Rajbari district on Thursday. Firefighters and locals said the fire broke out in a house at Sahadat Member Para village around 5:00pm. Affected house owners said the fire originated from the kitchen room of one Akbar Ali and soon engulfed the adjoining houses. Being informed a fire fighting unit from Rajbari rushed in and doused the blaze with the help of local people, according to UNB.
