7 JMB suspects arrested with explosives in city

Detective Branch (DB) of police in a drive arrested seven suspected members of banned Islamist militant outfit Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB), including its acting ameer, along with explosives from Turag Police Station area in the capital Thursday night, reports UNB.
Of the arrestees, one was identified as Tasnim, acting ameer of JMB.
Acting on secret information, a team of DB police launched a drive in the area and arrested them along with a large cache of explosives, said Deputy Commissioner (Media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Masudur Rahman.
"They were taking preparation to carry out massive subversive activities in the area," he added
