7 \\\'kidnappers\\\' held in city

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel arrested seven members of an organised kidnapping gang from Shahjalal International Airport area in Dhaka city on Friday night. Six of the arrestees were identified as Jashim, Shahidul, Sohrab Hawladar, Manir Matabbar, Sanaul Bepari and Nipa Begum while the identity of the other could not be known immediately. Tipped off, a team of RAB-1 conducted a drive in the area in the night and arrested them, said sources from RAB headquarters. However, the elite force also recovered a microbus, Tk50,000 cash, one gun, six mobile phone sets, a doping balm and a handcuff from their possession, according to a news agency.
