72 held in Cox’s Bazar while going to Malaysia illegally

Members of Bangladesh Coast Guard detained 72 people, including 42 Bangladeshis, from St. Martin’s Island in Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar on Saturday while going to Malaysia illegally, according to a news agency.
Tipped off, an operation team of Coast Guard of Shahpuri Island conducted a drive in the area around 1:30pm and arrested 42 Bangladeshis and 30 Myanmar nationals got into a Myanmar trawler to go to Malaysia through waterways, said a handout.
Four women and two children were among those held.
