76 BNP-Jamaat men arrested

Police arrested at least 76 leaders and activists of BNP and Jamaat-Shibir from different places of the city during a 24-hour long drive which continued till Thursday morning.
Talking to a news agency, DMP Deputy Commissioner (Media) Masudur Rahman confirmed the arrests and said all detainees were held for planning to conduct subversive activities during the BNP-led 20-party alliance’s countrywide hartal.
