76 km electrification covered in Kalaroa

Our Correspondent KHULNA, Sept 8: The lifestyle of the people of Kalaroa in Satkhira district has been changed by electrification of the area during the last four years of the present government. About 76 kilometer areas have been electrified in this upazila during the period. At the same time 3.5 thousand new electric connections have been provided among the consumers in more than 40 villages partially or fully and now the people of the area are getting facility of electricity that changed their lifestyle. But the people of Patuli and other villages of the upazila, however, are waiting for access to electricity. Deputy General Manager Kamrul Islam Golder of Jhowdanga zonal office under Satkhira Polli Biddut Samity said that electrification has been provided in more than 40 villages of the upazila and new connections have been given among 3.5 thousand people of the area form 2009 to September 5, 2013.
