77,512 Yaba seized

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel seized 77,512 Yaba tablets in Teknaf Upazila of Cox’s Bazar district on Monday night. Being tipped off, A BGB patrol team raided a boat in Jailya Dwip in Naf River around 8:30pm, said commanding officer of BGB Battalion-42 Lt Col M Abu Jar Al Zahid. Sensing danger, the Yaba smugglers jumped into the river leaving the boat behind. Later, the BGB team recovered the contraband tablets kept in eight packets inside a basket on the boat, according to a news agency.
