77.77pc pass SSC, equivalent exams this year

The results of this year's Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations were published across the country on Sunday showing a pass rate of 77.77 per cent under the 10 education boards of the country, reports UNB.
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid handed over the copies of overall results of SSC and equivalent examinations to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Sunday morning at her official residence Gonobhaban in the city.
The Prime Minister unveiled the results digitally, which were available online after 2:00pm.
This year girls performed better than boys as the pass rate among boys is 76.71 per cent and among girls 78.85 per cent.
The pass rate is 79.40 per cent under eight general education boards. The rate is 70.89 per cent under Madrasha Board and 71.96 per cent under the Technical Education Board.
The number of GPA-5 achievers under the eight boards is 102,845, while 4,413 under the technical education board and 3,371 under the Madrasha board.
