8 fish traders fined at Keraniganj

A mobile court in a drive fined eight fish traders at Zinzira and Aganagar kitchen markets at Keraniganj upazila for selling different kinds of formalin-mixed fish including jatka on Wednesday. Led by executive magistrate Abul Bashar Mohammad Fakruzzaman, the mobile court conducted the drive in the morning and seized three maunds of jatka (hilsa fry less than 10 centimetres in length) from the eight shops in the market. The seized jatka was distributed to a local orphanage. Meanwhile, the mobile court fined a person for continuing bricks and sand trading on the road near Buriganga Bridge II at Zinzira occupying it, according to UNB.
