8 get life for murder of ex-UP member

A Chittagong court has sentenced eight men to life for killing a former Union Parishad (UP) member in Comilla, reports bdnews24.com.
Judge Reza Ahmed Tarek let off one Alauddin and absolved him of the charges of murder Sunday.
Those given life sentence are Swapan Khan, 'Pothik', 'Almas', 'Taizuddin', 'Alim', 'Yunus', Golam Mostofa and Hasan Ali.
All of them are now behind bars.
Public Prosecutor Ayub Khan said the convicts had killed Homna Union's UP member Motin Munshi on Mar 21, 2012.
