8 held for cheating in JnU admission test

Jagannath University (JnU) administration has detained eight admission test attendees and handed them over to police on charges of cheating. Acting Proctor Nur Muhammad said after the examinations began at 3:30pm on Friday, 7 people were detained from the university exam hall and another from an external exam hall and handed over to police. ‘They were using mobile phones in the exam hall to cheat. Later when we took them to my office we were confirmed that they were getting answers via sms,’ he said. The students detained from the university are ‘Rajan', Dipu Chandra Roy, ‘Pritom’, Ashiquzzaman, ‘Yusuf’, ‘Imran’ and Abu Hossain. The other student could not be identified immediately. ‘They were sent to Kotwali Police Station. Legal action will be taken against them,’ the proctor said, according to bdnews24.com.
