8 indicted in Rajib murder case

A Dhaka court indicted on Wednesday eight accused in the blogger Ahmed Rajib Haider murder case, reports UNB.
Rajib was knifed to death at Pallabi area in the city on February 15 in 2013.
The accused are Shaikhul Hadith Mufti Jasimuddin Rahmani, chief of Ansarullah Bangla Team, former students of North South University (NSU) Faisal Bin Nayeem alias Dwip, Maksudul Hasan alias Anik, Mohammad Ehsan Reza alias Rumman, Nayeem Sikder alias Irad, Nafiz Imtiaz, Sadman Yasir Mahmud and Redwanul Azad alias Rana.
The Judge of the 4th Additional Metropolitan Sessions Court Mohammad Ruhul Amin framed the charges, rejecting the discharge petitions filed by the accused.
Passing the order, the court also fixed April 21 for beginning trial with the recording of testimonies of the prosecution witnesses (PWs).
