8 killed in separate incidents

RANGPUR, Oct 12 (BSS): Six persons were killed in separate incidents at different places in Rangpur during the past 48 hours till last night, police and hospital sources said.
Nazmin, 12, daughter of Nazrul Islam of village Najirdigar under Sadar upazila here was drowned in a pond while taking bath.
Rupali Begum, 22, daughter of Mokhlesur Rahman of village Atharokotha under Mithapukur upazila here allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself following long-term chronic pains in her abdomen.
Taraganj Thana police recovered the body of a newborn baby, from Kursha area in Taraganj upazila.
Lipi Begum, 18, wife of Rezaul Islam of village Durgapur under Sadar upazila here allegedly hanged herself following long- term conjugal feuds.
Golam Mostafa, 45, was injured while working in a factory in Parbotipur of Dinajpur and rushed to Rangpur Medical College Hospital (RMCH) where he succumbed to his injuries.
Rabiul Islam, 25, son of Gaffar Ali of village Mohimapur under Nababganj upazila in Dinajpur was injured in a road accident and died at the RMCH.
Separate cases were filed with respective police stations in these connections.
UNB report from Jessore: Two people, including a woman, were killed in separate road accidents in Chougachha and Sharsha upazilas in Jessore on Wednesday morning.
Uttam Kumar Ghosh, Sajiali police camp in-charge, said Babar Ali, 45, resident of Chougachha upazila headquarters, died on the spot as a Jessore-bound bus hit his bicycle at Dougachhiya at around 8:30 am.
Local people put barricade on Jesssore-Chougachha road protesting the accident. Later, police brought the situation under control.
In another incident, Anwara, 40, wife of Harun of Bagasra village in Sharsha upazila, died instantly as a motorcycle hit her when she was crossing the road at around 9 am.
Police recovered the bodies and sent those to hospital morgue for autopsy.
