8 killed in Tangail road accident

At least eight people were killed and an unspecified number injured in a fatal road accident in Tangail district on Wednesday. Local people and police were rescuing the injured. Witnesses said a rashly-driven truck rammed an auto-tempo (small human hauler) in Sadar Upazila killing eight people on the spot, mostly tempo passengers, in the afternoon. Locals rescued some of the injured persons and took them to a local hospital, according to a news agency.
