8 officials elevated to senior secy rank

Eight secretary-rank officials have been promoted to the rank of senior secretary, a govt order says. The public administration ministry issued an order to this effect Monday. The promoted secretaries are: Finance Division secretary Mohammad Tareque, water resources secretary Sheikh Altaf Ali, Privatisation Commission member Rokeya Sultana, public administration secretary Abdus Sobhan Shikder, health and family welfare secretary Humayun Kabir, textiles and jute secretary Ashraful Moqbul, Economic Relations Division secretary Iqbal Mahmud and agriculture secretary C Q K Mushtaq Ahmed.
