847 blankets handed to Habiganj poor

HABIGANJ, Feb 17: 847 pieces of blankets from Prime Minister's Relief Fund were distributed among the poor at Sadar Upazila hall room in Habiganj Monday.
Relief and Rehabilitation Department organised the programme in association with Sadar Upazila Parishad. Member of the parliament and district AL president Advocate Md. Abu Zahir handed over the blankets as the chief guest on the occasion. UNO Saiful Islam presided over the programme.
Among others deputy director of social service Shoeb Chowdhury, chamber president Mutassirul Islam, Upazila AL president Advocate Abdul Ahad Faruque and general secretary Abdur Rasid Talukder Iqbal spoke on the occasion.
