86 police inspectors promoted to ASP rank

Bangladesh Police have promoted 86 inspectors to the ranks of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP). The promotion of these ‘non-cadre’ officials was announced in a circular of the ministry of home affairs on Monday. Such ‘non-cadre’ officials generally do not get promoted to ranks higher than ASPs. Only the BCS (Police) cadres directly get appointed as ASPs, according to bdnews24.com.
