88 fishermen finally back home after 6-month ordeal

A total of 88 Bangladeshi fishermen along with two fishing trawlers stuck in India returned home on Monday under the initiative of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), reports UNB.
As a result of an effective initiative of the BGB, the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) handed over 88 Bangladeshi fishermen along with two fishing trawlers named 'FB Shah Amanat' and 'FB Sonar Madina-2' to the BGB, says Public Relations Officer of the BGB headquarters Shariful Islam on Monday evening.
The BSF formally handed over the Bangladeshi fishermen along with two fishing trawlers to Neeldumur's Battalion 17 BGB's Riverine Border Guard Company at the middle of the Kalindi River on the Bangladesh-India border, which is the jurisdiction of the Kaikhali BOP (border outpost) area on Monday evening.
