9 killed in separate road accidents

Our Correspondent PABNA, Nov 3: An unidentified man aged about, 45, was killed in a road accident when he was crossing the road at Chinakhara on a Pabna-Dhaka highway in Sujanagar upazila of Pabna Wednesday. The police recovered the body and sent it to Pabna Medical College Hospital morgue for post-mortem examination. A case was filed with police in this regard. Another BSS report from Chapainawabganj adds:: Two motor cyclists were killed and another injured in a road accident when a motor cycle collided head on with a micro bus in front of Ranihati College under Shibganj upazila on Chapainawabganj-Sonamasjid high way Wednesday. The deceased were identified as Latifur Rahman, 15, a Dakhil examinee son of Asadul of Kamlakantapur and Tushar, 18, son of Nazrul Islam of Ranihati under Shibganj upazila. The injured was identified as Bashar, 22, son of Tasiul of Ranihati of the same upazila. Another UNB report from Bandarban adds: Two children were killed in a tragic road accident in Hafezghona area of Bandarban district town on Wednesday night. The deceased were identified as Harun, 11, son of Mohammad Shafiul and Yusuf, 8, son of Oli Ahmad of the area. The bus driver managed to flee the scene along with the vehicle. A case was filed. Another UNB report from Jessore adds: Four people, including three female workers, were killed when a human hauler carrying them was hit by a truck in Abhoynagar upazila of Jessore on Thursday morning. The deceased were identified as Rubi Begum, 30, Sheuli, 25, and Renu Begum, 27, workers of Sidr Textile Mills in Noapara, and Ripon, driver of the human hauler Nasimon. The three female workers met the accident while going to their workplace. The truck driver along with his vehicle fled the scene after the accident, but he was arrested later by police in Khulna.
