90,000 Yaba seized

The law enforcers seized over 90,000 pieces of Yaba in Teknaf Upazila in Cox’s Bazar district on Sunday evening. Being tipped off, a team of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) conducted a drive in Sluice Gate area and recovered the contraband tablets worth Tk 27 million (Tk 2.70 crore). Public relations officer of BGB Headquarters Mohsin Reza confirmed the seizure of 90,000 Yaba tablets which were brought to Bangladesh from Myanmar through the sea. However, no arrested was made, according to a news agency.
