9,822 pass 34th BCS written test

A total of 9,822 candidates have passed the 34th BCS written test. The result was out on Thursday 12noon. When contacted, Bangladesh Public Service Commission’s (PSC) Examinations Controller (cadre) AEM Nesar Uddin confirmed this, saying that 9,822 examinees have been cleared to appear the viva voce, which will start on January 26 next year. According to the PSC, this year, 221,575 candidates sat for the preliminary tests. The candidates are vying for 2,052 vacancies. Results of written test are also available on the PSC website at www.bpsc.gov.bd. Apart from PSC’s website, applicants can also get results by sending an SMS to 16222. Within the body of the text message, candidates need to type ‘BCS 34’ followed by a space and their registration number. Successful candidates will have to face now the next stage: viva voce. The schedule for the viva examinations will be announced later. The results of the preliminary test were published on July 8, 45 days after the examination was held across the country on May 24, according to private TV channels.
