A dedicated Buddhist
Monday, 15 December 2014
A front page report with photographs from Patuakhali, was published on 13th December in an English daily. It was about the dedicated and devoted effort of one person in shaping the future of many deprived children of all religions. Sadly, we are not aware of this great man. As reported, Uttam Bhikku, a local Buddhist priest's efforts are indeed admirable and deserve full support and much needed help from all of us either financially or materially. The noble effort can be supported by providing food grains, as well as books, stationaries and money. All these will be of great help for those needy children and they deserve all the support that we can provide.
I would further humbly request the Honourable Prime Minister to kindly sanction regular financial support to this initiative, whatever may be the amount. This noble venture aimed at educating the needy children of our society will make sure that this worthwhile enterprise progresses and develops further and makes a far-reaching impact on society. This will encourage others to come forward and contribute their share to this noble
venture.
Further, I would request the daily that carried the item to set up a trust fund to provide further help and support. This will also enable its readers to donate whatever they can to this noble cause. Combined efforts of many will help provide education and much needed nutrition for these deprived children in a remote location of the country.
