A heart-warming victory

Wednesday, 11 March 2015

What a heart-warming victory! Once again the strong England team has been ejected out of the World Cup. The English dream of winning the cup was shattered on the mid-way again. The English team was beaten by low-ranked Bangladesh by 15 runs. Bangladesh scored 275 for 7 in the stipulated 50 overs and then dismissed England for 260 in 48.3 overs. More importantly, Bangladesh reached the quarter-finals which was the Tigers' primary target.
Heartiest congratulations to the Tigers!
Our hats off to Mahmudullah who scored a brilliant 103 with the help of 7 fours and 2 sixes and Rubel who ran through the England innings by taking 4 wickets for 53 runs.
Mahmudullah was adjudged the 'Player of the Match' by the adjudicators. We shall be failing in our duty if we do not offer our sincerest thanks to Mushfiqur Rahim, the former skipper for his outstanding performance of 89 runs with the help of 8 fours and a six.
The remarkable catch by Shakib Al Hasan at the deep close to the boundary  was a treat to watch. We wish our players the best of luck in their next games. Good luck, Tigers!
