A salutary response

India and Bangladesh recently signed a deal titled 'Cultural Exchange Program for the year 2015-17' during the two day visit of the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Dhaka. The two countries linked with each other by commonality which is reflected in multi-dimensional relations at various levels of interaction. And this common history of struggle for freedom the peoples of the two countries share also give them a sense of purpose.
I hope that the positive role of the media will bring the peoples of these two countries closer. According to the deal, approved by New Delhi and Dhaka, India signed for screening Bangladeshi programmes on Indian television channels. Dhaka's media was seeking New Delhi's approval in this regard as Bangladesh has already allowed some Indian television channels to operate in the country. Surely it will greatly expand people-to-people relations.
But everyone should be careful so that it does not fail to hit the mark. If the process fails, no one would get any benefit out of it. Of course a broad perception allows the people to enjoy the benefit of new concept and we are all hoping for the best.
