YET another pleasant February (Falgun) Morning has been smeared with the blood of the Martyrs. The tragedy that this nation had witnessed fifty seven years ago brought us glory, freedom and statehood. No doubt, that auspicious Day has also received an international recognition as the International Mother Language Day. But the tragedy that befell on this nation in the last days of this February has plunged the whole nation in grief, shame and sadness. Individually and collectively, are we so cruel by nature, so brutal in our act and so barbaric in our thoughts and actions - one wonders.
Or being, simple and gullible, many of us are susceptible to provocation far too easily. Whatever we are, some of us are great cynic, educated and half-educated, who know "price of everything but the value of nothing." We know the cost of a Pajero or a Golf ball, but we do not know the essence of values, honour and pride. We love freedom and defend freedom of our own speech and can afford not to be na
