AB Bank, the first private commercial bank in the country, has launched its new logo with a renewed pledge to provide its clients better service.
"The new logo in scarlet red is a major shift from the old olive green colour. Red symbolises rebirth and rejuvenation," said Kaiser A Chowdhury Managing Director and President of the bank while announcing the new road map for the bank at the unveiling ceremony of the logo at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Center in the city on Monday.
Highlighting the vision of the bank that turned 25 this year Kaiser said, 'Time has now arrived for AB to look forward and to greet the decades in-waiting with a new look with a fresh appearance donning a new attire.'
Explaining the meaning of the new logo, he said, "The coat of arms of the new logo is inspired by traditional 'shital paati' or 'sleeping mat'. The knit and the pattern of interlace in the new logo that echoes the intricate weave of shital paati symbolises bonding."
This bonding reflects the new sprit of AB Bank, he added.
Founded on 12th April, 1982, AB Bank is celebrating its silver jubilee with 70 branches spread all over the country. AB Bank earlier this year assumed a new name AB Bank instead of Arab Bangladesh Bank.
