Abahani join top slot again

Holders Abahani Limited again joined the top slot with leader Muktijoddha Sangsad KC in the points table of the GrameenPhone Bangladesh League beating Chittagong Mohammedan SC by 2-0 goal at the Bangabandhu National Stadium (BNS) in the city Friday, reports UNB.
With the day's victory, Abahani Limited secured 35 points along with Muktijoddha Sangsad KC (Match-14) while Chittagong Mohammedan SC remained at 10th position with 11 points, both playing 15 matches.
In the day's match, Ghanaian recruit Awudu Ibrahim and Mohammad Robin scored one goal each for Abahani Limited in the 75th and 89th minute respectively.
In the day's another match, a hat-trick by Nigerian striker Sunday Chizoba guided Dhaka Mohammedan SC to a 3-1 goal triumph over Rahmatganj MFS at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium at Kamalapur in the city.
With the day's victory, Mohammedan SC improved their position to 5th with 21 points, while Rahmatganj MFS remained at 7th place with 17 points, both from 15 outings.
In the match, Sunday made hattrick scoring all three goals in the 10th, 36th and 64th minute for the traditional Motijheel 'outfit' Mohammedan SC while Ugandan striker Idris Kasirye netted the lone goal for the old Dhaka boys Rahmatganj MFS in the 31st minute.
