Abahani maintain winning spree in Victory Day Hockey

Abahani Limited maintained their winning spree in the UCB Victory Day Hockey Tournament outplaying Bangladesh Air Force by 5-2 goals at Maulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium in the city Thursday, reports UNB. Pushkar Khisha Memo struck twice for Abahani in the 38th and 40th minutes while Hasan Jubair Niloy, Mamunur Rahman Chayan and Iqbal Nadir Prince netted one goal each in the 4th, 15th and 25th minutes respectively. Shamsul Alam and Zahid Hossain scored for Bangladesh Air Force one in each half. Earlier in the day's first match, Bangladesh Army beat BKSP by 2-1 goals at the same venue. Rokonuzzaman Shohag scored twice in the 20th and 67th minutes- first from penalty stroke and 2nd from penalty corner while Salman Sadiq netted the lone goal for BKSP in the 37th minute from a penalty corner. In the day's another match, Bangladesh Navy outplayed Bangladesh Police by 4-0 goals at the same venue. Shuvo, Rabbani, Bachchu and Turjo scored one goal each for the sailors' team in the 12th, 31st, 47th and 60th minutes respectively.
