Abahani, Victoria, MSC register win

Abahani Limited, Mohammedan Sporting Club (MSC) and Victoria Sporting Club won their respective matches in the Walton Metropolis Premier Division Cricket League at different venues Friday, reports UNB.
Abahani Limited beat Kalabagan KC by six wickets at Fatullah while Mohammedan SC defeated Old DOHS by 49 runs at the BKSP ground-3 and Victoria SC managed a comfortable seven-wicket victory over Partex SC at the BKSP ground-4.
At Fatullah, Kalabagan KC batted first after winning the toss and scored 189 for 9 in 50 overs with Tasamul Haque making 40 runs off 61 balls hitting five fours and Sri Lankan Jehan Mubarak scoring 32 off 62 balls with two fours and a six.
Mustafizur Rahman of Abahani Limited grabbed five wickets for 32 runs to be adjudged man of the match.
In reply, Abahani Limited reached their target scoring 193 runs for 4 in 42 overs with Sri Lankan Chamara Silva contributing not out 59 runs off 61 deliveries, including four fours and three sixes, while national all-rounder Nasir Hossain making not out 53 off 81 balls with five fours and two sixes.
Shahadat Hossain Rajib took two wickets for 26 runs.
Sent in to bat first at the BKSP ground-3, Mohammedan SC piled up a moderate 250 for 8 in 50 overs.
Mohammad Mithun scored 54 off 55 balls, featuring one four and a six while skipper Naeem Islam contributed an unconquered 51 runs off 47 balls featuring five fours and one six to be adjudged man of the match.
Saleh Ahmed Shawon and Abu Zayed took three wickets each conceding 46 and 52 runs respectively.
In reply, Old DOHS were forced to fold their innings at 201 for 8 in allocated 50 overs with Shahnaz Ahmed making 55 and Ahsanul Haque 48 runs.
Ariful Haque picked up three wickets for 22 runs while Murad Khan took two for 36 runs.
Sent in to bat first at the BKSP ground-4, Partex SC were all out for 183 runs in 47.4 overs with Mehrab Hossain Jr making 65 runs.
Abu Haider claimed four wickets for 28 runs.
In reply, Victoria SC scored the match-winning 186 for 3 in 45.5 overs.
Dhiman Ghosh contributed an unconquered 87 runs off 145 balls hitting seven fours and four sixes and named as the player of the match.
