Abashon Project opens at Notidanga

CHUADANGA, Dec 10(BSS): An Abasan Project was inaugurated at village Notidanga under Alamdanga upazila of the district yesterday. A total of 160 poor and rootless families of Baradi under Alamdanga upazila of the district have been rehabilitated in the project. The project was formally opened by local lawmaker Solaiman Hoque Joarder at a simple ceremony with Deputy Commissioner Bholanath Dey in the chair. Dr. Humayun Kabir, Upazila Parishad Chairman, Delwar Hossain, Vice- chairman, and Abdus Salam, UNO, Alamdanga were present as special guests. Among others, political leaders Aurongojeb Mollah Tipu, Munshi Alamgir Hannan and M. Sobed Ali spoke on the occasion. The Abashan Project was constructed at a cost of Taka 1.60 crore under direct instruction of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Engineering unit of Bogra Cantonment of the Bangladesh Army has implemented the project. The project has 10 big tin-shed barracks and each of the barracks has 16 units.
