Abducted boy found dead in Rangpur

RANGPUR, Jan 23: Police recovered the body of a teenage boy from Shahbazpur Kolarkhamar area in Rangpur city Wednesday night, after four days of his abduction.
The deceased was identified as Masud (14), son of Rabi Miah of Kishmat Basontapur area at Gopalpur union under Badarganj Upazila in the district.
Locals found the body lying in the area Wednesday night and informed the police.  
On information police rushed to the spot, recovered the body and sent it to Rangpur Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Masud was abducted from near his house on Saturday last. Later, the kidnappers demanded Tk 80 thousand from his parents as ransom over mobile phone. They also threatened to kill Masud if the police was informed.
The victim's father, Rabi Miah filed a case with Badarganj Police Station in this regard.
