Abducted by tutor, girl rescued in Ctg after 3 months

Police rescued a schoolgirl in Lohagara Upazila of Chittagong district on Tuesday night, three months after she was allegedly abducted by her private tutor from Benapole union of Sarsa Upazila of Jessore. Police also arrested the tutor, Firoz Biswash, son of Khalek Biswash, a resident of Chakui village of Narail district, at that time. Police said Firoz used to tutor the victim, a class IX student of Benapole High School, for long. He picked up the girl on her way back home from school and took her to Chittagong three months ago. Later, the victim’s father filed a case against Firoz with Benapole Port Police Station. Tipped off, a team of police conducted a drive in Lohagara Upazila headquarters of Chittagong on Tuesday night, rescued the girl and arrested Firoz. Officer-in-charge of the police station Apurba Hasan confirmed the incident, according to UNB.
