Abducted grocer's body recovered in Jhenidah

JHENIDAH, Oct 31: Jhenidah DB police recovered a decomposed body of a grocer shopkeeper from Satiantala in Jessore in early hours Sunday. According to the confessional statement of outlaws Anisur Rahman of Bherakhali village under Harinakundo Upazila in Jhenidah and his wife Nasrin the police recovered this decomposed body Sunday morning.
The deceased was identified as Nabin Hossain (42), son of Eakub Mondol of Gazipur village under Harinakundo Upazila in Jhenidah.
The terrorists set a trap of love affair and abducted him for ransom on October 7. Nasrin is also an outlaw activist.
DB OC Golam Hossain of Jhenidah said, outlaw activist Nasrin was introduced to Nabin over mobile phone. A relationship was established between them. On October 7, Nasrin asked Nabin to come to Ghoppara in Satiantala to meet her. Nasrin confined Nabin to her uncle Puti Mollah's house at Satiantala village and demanded Tk 0.3 million to Nabin's family member as ransom. Nabin's relatives paid Tk 0.15 million for releasing Nabin. But they strangled Nabin to death and thrown his body in an abandoned well and filled up his body with earth on October 14 as they did not get the rest amount. Nasrin and her husband Anisur Rahman and Biplobi Communist Party regional leader Mokaddes Ali alias Moka took part in this mission.
Being sure of this horrifying incident over mobile tracking, the DB police arrested Nasrin and her husband Anisur Rahman on Saturday night at around zero hour from Bherakhali village.
According to their statement the DB police recovered the decomposed body from a well at Satiantala in Jessore.
Shop worker killed
Another report adds: On Saturday night miscreants hacked a decorator worker to death in Jhenidah. This incident occurred at Abaipur village under Shailkupa Upazila of the district.
The deceased was identified as Hashem Ali (50), son of late Abdul Hakim Mia of Lakhandia village under Shailkupa Upazila.
The deceased's daughter Razani Khatun said, her father went to Sreepur Bazar for decoration work under Magura district Saturday and since he did not return home. On Sunday morning her father's body was found lying behind the community clinic of Abaipur village in Shailkupa.
SI Ashraf Hossian of the Shailkupa police station said, Hashem Ali did not have good relationship with his family members. He worked at a decorators' shop in Sreepur bazar and stayed there. He might have been killed due to family feud, police said.
