Abducted school girl rescued

Police on Friday rescued a school girl in Satkania Upazila in Chittagong district, about two weeks after her abduction from Hathazari Upazila. The 14-year old was saved from Madarsa village of Keochia Union on Friday morning. Hathazari police SI Kawsar Uddin said the prime suspect in the case filed over the kidnap, Md Tanvir, 20, was arrested at the time. The SI who led the rescue operation said the school-goer was whisked away near her school in Satkania’s Ichhapur on May 11. The Grade 10 student was kept in Banshkhali Upazila until May 17 before being moved to Satkania. Her father filed a case on May 14 with Hathazari Police Station. SI Kawsar Uddin said they tracked Tanvir from the call list on his mobile phone, according to bdnews24.com.
