Abducted Sylhet trader found in Gazipur

A businessman of Sylhet who was allegedly abducted 13 days back was rescued from Joydevpur of Gazipur district on Friday. The victim was identified as Saifur Rahman Shamser who ran a grocery shop at Roykhail village in Dakkhin Surma upazila. He is the son of late Siddique Miah of the village. Police detained a person for interrogation in this connection. Rezwan Ahmed, Shamser’s brother, lodged a general diary with Kotwali Police Station in Sylhet after Shamser went missing two weeks ago. Following the filling of the GD, police launched drive to trace out Shamser and found him in Joydevpur of Gazipur in the afternoon on Friday. Later at night, he, along with an alleged abductor, was brought to Sylhet from Gazipur for interrogation, according to UNB.
