Abducted youth found in sack

A young man, who was chained and bundled inside a sack, was rescued in Meherpur district on Tuesday afternoon three months after his abduction. Police rescued Mojnu Miah from Bamundi Majher Math area after being informed by locals about the sack. Mojnu was then admitted to Huda Clinic. He was taken home at night. He is a resident of Chorgoyal village at Bamundi Union under Gangni Upazila of Meherpur. Mojnu went missing on December 18 last year, said Gangni Police Station OC Masudul Alam. The victim said that some people had picked him up on a motorcycle that evening. They blindfolded him and kept changing his locations keeping him in many houses with his hands and legs tied. A relative of Mojnu said the abductors had released him on payment of a ransom of Tk 200,000, according to bdnews24.com.
