The 38th death anniversary of eminent folk singer of the sub-continent Abdul Alim will be observed today (Wednesday). Different socio-cultural organisations have chalked out programmes to mark the day.
Abdul Alim Sangeet Parishad will place wreath on the singer's grave at Banani in the morning. A cultural and discussion programme on the life and songs of Abdul Alim will be arranged at the Showkat Osman Memorial Auditorium at Shahbagh at 5 pm today (Wednesday).
Bangladesh Betar, other radio station and Bangladesh Television (BTV) will broadcast and TV channels will telecast programmes on Abdul Alim today (Wednesday).
