Abdul Aziz becomes Standard Bank chairman

Prominent businessman & social worker Lion Mohammed Abdul Aziz has been elected as the chairman of Standard Bank.
The board of directors of the bank unanimously elected Mr Aziz as the Chairman at the 396th Board Meeting of the bank held at the bank's head office in Dhaka on Wednesday.
Mr Aziz, the sponsor director of the bank, started his own business after completing his studies in commerce from the renowned Dhaka College in 1972, according to a Standard Bank press release.
With tireless efforts, hard work and sincerity he established himself as a successful entrepreneur. He is a founder member and Board of Trustee of Fareast International University in Dhaka.
Mr. Aziz was elected as the District Governor of Lions Clubs International District 315 B2, Bangladesh, for the year 2005-06.
He is also the founder Vice Chairman of three Eye Hospitals in the name of "Lions Club of Dhaka Progressive Eye Hospital", the press release says.
