Abdul Kalam joins MCCI anniv programme

Former President of India APJ Abdul Kalam has advised young science students here to acquire knowledge and work hard to defeat problems with a righteous heart and emerge as creative leaders to attain prosperity for the country. Kalam, also an internationally acclaimed nuclear scientist, sounded the wise words for the future leaders at an interactive programme on Friday, as part of his two-day important schedule of public interaction in the city. He arrived here on Friday on an invitation of Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI), Dhaka. He is scheduled to join a programme on the occasion of the 110th founding anniversary of the MCCI on Saturday. The MCCI stages a gala event at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre today to round off the two-day celebration marking its 110th anniversary. Kalam, who was the 11th President of India, will attend the function as key-note speaker, report agencies.
