Abdul Mutaleb appointed as CEO of CDBL

Md. Abdul Mutaleb has been appointed as managing director (MD) and chief executive officer (CEO) of Central Depository Bangladesh Limited (CDBL), effective from October 21.
Mr. Mutaleb is a seasoned ICT professional with over 37 years of experience in the financial sector, specialising in depository services, stock market operations, and technology infrastructure, according to a press release.
An alumnus of BUET, he joined CDBL in February 2018 and served in the capacity of chief technology officer, DMD, and managing director & CEO (Current Charge). He has diversified experience in exchange technology, identity management, passport and immigration.
Expressing his vision, Mr. Mutaleb said, "I am honoured to be appointed as CDBL MD & CEO at this pivotal time and remain committed to driving innovation, efficiency, and transparency in Bangladesh's capital market."
