Abdullah Al-Mamun joins Shahjalal Islami Bank as AMD

Md. Abdullah Al-Mamun joined Shahjalal Islami Bank as additional managing director (AMD) on Tuesday (April 28). Prior to joining the bank, he served as the deputy managing director at Al-Arafah Islami Bank (AIB), according to a press release.
The banker hailing from Jamalpur obtained his graduate and postgraduate degree from Dhaka University (DU). He holds an MBA in accounting and also obtained the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Certified Financial Planning (CFP) certification from Toronto, Canada. Later, he obtained the Advanced Certificate in Business Administration (ACBA) from the Institute of Business Administration, DU.
Md. Abdullah Al-Mamun has 28 years of professional experience in AIB, where he started his banking career as probationary officer in 1998 and worked in different capacities.
He has proven track records and hands on experience in different areas of banking business including branch and in the senior management role at corporate head office of AIB.
With excellent customer relationships, he worked as branch manager of three corporate branches of the bank.
Md. Abdullah Al-Mamun participated in numerous training programmes and workshops in home and abroad.
