Abou Doma new Banglalink CEO

Ahmed Abou Doma has been appointed chief executive officer (CEO) of Banglalink effective from January 2, 2009, says a press release.
Mr. Abou Doma currently is the marketing director of Egyptian Company for Mobile Services 'Mobinil' that he had held in 2003.
During this period, the company witnessed an unprecedented growth in number of subscribers from 2.7 million in 2003 to 20 million in December 2008 and thus has became the largest mobile service provider in the Egypt.
Mr. Abou Doma joined the marketing team of Mobinil in 1998 where he led the development of postpaid and prepaid services as well as tariff design for the consumer segment.
Prior to joining Mobinil, he had an extensive experience in the Information Technology field where he held several important positions with multinational firms, including IBM and Datum IDS.
Abou Doma holds a Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communication Engineering degree from Cairo University and IEP Certificate from INSEAD Business School and is holding memberships of various local and international marketing committees.
Mr. Abou Doma replaced Mr. Rashid Khan in the role of CEO of banglalink after the latter took over as CEO of Mobilink Pakistan.
