Abu Jafar new DMD of Al-Arafah Islami Bank

S M Abu Jafar has recently been promoted to Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of Al-Arafah Islami Bank PLC, says a statement.
Before assuming his new role, Mr Jafar served as Senior Executive Vice President since 2021. With a banking career spanning over two decades, he began his professional journey in 2000 at Exim Bank PLC as a member of the first batch of Management Trainee Officers.

Before his tenure at Al-Arafah Islami Bank, Mr Jafar held key positions at Exim Bank and United Commercial Bank. He has been awarded 'Chairman Gold Medal' three times for his outstanding performances. He has also received 'Integrity Award' from Al-Arafah Islami Bank in 2017.
Abu Jafar completed his B.Com. and M.Com. in accounting from the University of Dhaka.
