Abu Shadat new managing director of IIDFC

Abu Shadat Mohammad Shahin has been appointed as the managing director of IIDFC PLC recently, says a press statement.
Mr Shahin joined IIDFC as Deputy Managing Director in September 2024 and has served as Managing Director (Current Charge) since April 2025 before his formal appointment.
He has 25 years of experience in the banking and financial sector and is recognised for his strategic leadership and in-depth industry expertise.
Mr Shahin started off his career at Arab Bangladesh Bank (AB Bank) as a probationary officer and has since held senior positions at leading institutions, including AB Bank, BRAC Bank, IPDC Finance, Midland Bank, IIDFC and Uttara Finance.
He did his BBA and MBA from Jahangirnagar University, completed the ACBA from IBA, University of Dhaka, and the Banking Diploma from The Institute of Bankers, Bangladesh.
