Academics suggested formulating a law with a provision of tough punishment for indulging in question paper leak of public examinations.
They came up with the suggestion during a meeting with Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid on the overall condition of the country’s education at the Secretariat Wednesday.
The academics also suggested adopting digitalised method and increasing the use of Information Technology in preparing question papers to prevent leak of those, said Nahid while talking to reporters after the meeting, according to a news agency.
“We also think the use of traditional method can’t secure question papers and we have to move further in this regard,” said Nahid adding, “If needed, a new law will be enacted to prevent question paper leak.”
Nahid further said, “We’ve achieved success in education in terms of number but now we’ll have to go ahead in terms of its standard. Today, we’ve got many opinions and suggestions. Now we’ll work after evaluating those.”
