ACC chief asks govt officials to stand against corruption

BARGUNA, Oct 14 (UNB): Anti-corruption Commission (ACC) Chairman Lt Gen (retd) Hasan Mashhud Chowdhury said Tuesday government offices must be kept corruption-free to drive out corruption from the country.
The ACC chairman made the remarks while speaking as the chief guest at an anti-graft campaign at the Barguna Shilpokola Academy auditorium Tuesday.
Deputy Commissioner of the district Shafayet Hossain moderated the discussion.
The ACC chief said the government officials must follow a strict position to fight corruption.
ACC deputy director Ajoy Das, acting superintendent of Police Shafiqul Islam and Municipality mayor Shajahan Mia were also present on the occasion.
