ACC files case against ex-DC, his wife in Chittagong

CHITTAGONG, Dec 27 (UNB): The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Wednesday filed a case against former deputy commissioner M Hasan and his wife for concealing information in their wealth statement.
ACC Assistant Director M Shamsuddin Ahmed lodged the case against M Hasan and his wife Hasina Momtaz with the Potenga Police Station accusing them of hiding assets of over Tk 31.1 million (3.11 crore) which was not mentioned in the wealth statement submitted to the commission.
M Hasan was arrested by joint forces during their operation in the port city early this year. After he was released on bail, he went abroad.
