ACC files cases against Rajuk director Mobarak, wife

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Tuesday filed two separate cases against Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) Director (Develop-ment and Control-II) Mobarak Hossain and his wife Sahana Parveen for allegedly acquiring wealth beyond their known source of income.
ACC's integrated district office Dhaka-1 filed the cases, reports UNB.
Asif Al Mahmud, ACC's Assistant Director is the plaintiff of the cases, confirmed a senior officer of the ACC.
One case was filed  against Mobarak Hossain.
According to the case statement, in the wealth statement submitted to the ACC, Mobarak Hossain showed movable and immovable assets worth Tk 1.10 crore and failed to show acceptable source of income of Tk41.46 lakh.
The case was filed against Mobarak Hossain under section 27(1) of the Anti-Corruption Commission Act, 2004.
Another case was filed against Sahana and Mobarak.
According to the case, the couple acquired assets worth Tk 1.58 crore beyond their known source of income in collusion with each other.
