ACC gives nod to cases against seven BKSP coaches

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Wednesday approved separate cases against seven coaches of Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan (BKSP) who assumed the positions using fake academic certificates.
The accused coaches of BKSP, the national sports institute situated on the outskirt of the city in Zirani of Savar, joined the institute different times in between 1999 and 2016, said ACC Public Relations Officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharjee.
The charged coaches are Syed Asbab Ali (shooting), Md Sazzad Hossain (archery), Maksudul Amin (football), Abu Bakar Siddique (judo), Abu Sufian Chishti (boxing), Zahir Uddin (boxing), and Kazi Akram Ali (gymnastics).
ACC deputy director Mohammad Ibrahim of Integrated District Office (Dhaka-2) started investigating the allegations in 2016.
The anti-graft watchdog will lodge the cases shortly, Pranab added.
